The Nassau Village Beautification Committee presents the following events for summer 2015. With the exception of the yard sale, all take place at the Village Commons Park on John Street.
Saturday, June 10 Village Wide Yard Sale 9 am - 3 pm Property owners are invited to take part on their yards and lawns. No fee to participate.
Thursday, July 10 Gazebo Concert 7 pm Nassau Community Band. Your "hometown" brass band with old-time favorites.
Saturday, July 30 Chicken Bar-B-Que 4 - 6 pm Rain or shine, Eat-in or take out. Reservations needed by August 10th. Tickets at Nassau Village Hall or phone reservations at 766-2291.
Sunday, July 31 Nassau Stories - "Show & Tell Your Nassau Stories" 2 - 4 pm In anticipation of the 200th anniversary of incorporation in 2019, we are starting to think back to Nassau of yesterday and saving those stories, pictures and artifacts. Open to all to share or just sit and listen. Under the tents at the Village Commons.
Saturday, August 12 Community Block Dance - 6 - 9 pm A blast from Nassau's past, on the water at the Village Pond - Malden Street. Co-Sponsored by Nassau Bicentennial Committee.
Saturday, Sept 9 Nassaufest 11 am - 3 pm Kid’s carnival games, com’ty group booths, musical entertainment, fun for the whole family. Community groups invited.
Sunday, September 24 Oktoberfest 12- 4 pm with The Bavarian Barons. Celebrate the traditional end-of-season harvest fest! German food specialties and music, under the tents.
Saturday, October 28 "Ghosts & Ghouls" Kid's Halloween Party, 2 - 4 pm, Village Commons Park.
2017 Meeting Schedule
The Committee meets monthly (April - October) at the Village Hall on the Third Monday of each month. Meetings start 6 PM and last approximately 1 hour. All are welcome. Community suggestions and comments are important to us!
Our Plantings & Upkeep
